This beautiful classic applique design was inspired by intricate scroll iron work on a fence in my neighborhood. Although the design had been forged in steel, to me it was the perfect applique. Although complex looking, this quilt is made with 5 simple applique shapes and 1 block. An elegant design that would make a beautiful gift, heirloom or bed quilt. Pattern includes complete directions, color recommendations, full size templates and applique layouts An extended explanation, hints & tips for the starch method of applique is also included.
